Publisher:Administrative Services Hits:30
Hurry! Go and check if your compulsory automobile liability insurance is still valid. Renew the insurance to avoid paying fines and compensation in case of an accident!

Taipei Motor Vehicles Office would like to give a friendly reminder to the general public to pay attention to whether the compulsory automobile liability insurance is paid and current for their beloved cars and motorcycles. Those who have failed to purchase the compulsory automobile liability insurance will be considered negligent and will fined NTD 1,500 to 15,000; the fine will be raised from NTD 6,000 to 30,000 for any liable person without the compulsory automobile liability insurance. The license plate will even be detained until the compulsory automobile liability insurance is purchased for the uninsured vehicle.

Taipei Motor Vehicles Office also suggests those who need to pay fines can use the online payment service to avoid the need to go out. It is easy, efficient, convenient, time-saving and environmentally-friendly. One can easily fulfill the payment by simply going to the official website of Motor Vehicle Driver Information Service at https://www.mvdis.gov.tw/ → traffic violation → violation ticket → traffic ticket (including compulsory insurance) inquiry and payment.

Taipei Motor Vehicles Office would like to call on all citizens who have relocated to a new address to inform the motor vehicles office and insurance company of their new address so as not to miss out on any important messages or notices that may affect their rights and interests. Should you have any questions, please contact Taipei Motor Vehicles Office, Ms. Chen Li-Ling at (02)2763015 ext. 415, or fax number at (02)27617750.
