1.First in the Nation! The “Vehicle Inspection Queue Quota Inquiry System ”
The “Vehicle Inspection Queue Quota Inquiry System” is available at MVDIS.
With a simple click, the list of Taipei City MVO approved vehicle inspection agencies in the desired district will be shown along with the agencies’ contact information and vehicle inspection availability. The public can select the nearest inspection location and perform periodic inspection on the vehicle.
2.Reduce number of forms to fill out with computerized vehicle inspection
Following mandatory vehicle inspection for any change of vehicle registration, filled out forms will be automatically printed out (along with the qualified vehicle image) after the vehicle has passed inspection. This will significantly reduce the amount of paperwork.
3.Motorcycle Safety Driving touring the school campuses
To promote safe driving of motorcyclists, an educational campaign has been held at school campuses since 2007. The campaign is expected to expand to various vocational schools too, and is currently under discussion.
4.ALL convenience stores now provide fuel tax payments!
Due to the wide area coverage and the 24 hour service nature of convenience stores, fuel taxes are also accepted at convenience stores(7-ELEVEN, FamilyMart, HiLife, OK mart). For granting the public a wider selection of options available regarding the various Taipei City MVO services, fuel tax paymentsare also availible at ATMs, Internet and telephone.
5.Tender for desired license plate numbers at home
In cooperation with Taipei City Government’s “Use Internet to Replace the Road” e-service policy (aimed to overcome the time and space barriers required to reduce society costs), as of July 31st, 2007, the public can tender for their desired license plate numbers for passenger cars, trucks, and heavy motorcycles (550cc or above) through the Internet.
