Remember to Get Your Vehicle Insured before Driving

ContentTaipei City Motor Vehicles Office reminds the drivers that before driving, please remember to check ifensure that their vehicles are insured with compulsory auto liability insurance before driving. For those accused by the highway supervisory authority or by the police on a roadside check of overdue insurance, according to the Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance Act, an administrative fine of not less than NT$1,500 and not more than NT$15,000 shall be imposed. When an uninsured automobile causes an accident, the highway supervisory authority will impose an administrative fine of not less than NT$6,000 and not more than NT$30,000.
The Office indicates has explained that the drivers maymight fail to receive the insurance renewal notice because of studying, working, or moving to other cities. Please make sure to inform the insurance company forof an address change so asin order to receive the latest information and maintain yourthe rights.
