1.How can an alien drive in the territory of the ROC? An international driver's license must be handled according to the principles of equality and reciprocity. If your international driver's license conforms to the principles of equality and reciprocity, please bring your passport, international driver's license (if your international driver's license was issued by the USA or the Kingdom of Lesotho, please also bring your state or local driver's license), and a recent 1-inch photo to obtain a permit for driving in the ROC with your international driving license.
2.How long is the permit for driving in the ROC with an international driving license valid? The permit for driving in the ROC with an international driving license is valid until either the international driving license or the alien resident certificate (ARC) expires, up to a maximum of one year.

If your international driving license conforms to the principle of equality and reciprocity, you can drive in the territory of the ROC up to 30 days after entry with a driver's license issued by any of these countries. The permit for driving in the ROC with an international driving license is valid until either the international driving license or the alien resident certificate (ARC) expires, up to a maximum of one year.
