    Rules Pertaining to the Written Exam and Road Test for a Motor Vehicle Driver’s License

    1. Test takers are required to comply with each of these rules. An examiner or supervisor may prohibit a violator from taking the test.
    2. Test takers must carry their driver’s test registration form, learning/experience certification, and ID card or other relevant document (including photograph) ready for inspection, and must arrive for the test within the designated time.
    3. No bare feet, bare torso, wearing clogs, or other such attire.
    4. No smoking, chewing betel nut, drinking alcohol, or using narcotics, stupefacients or stimulants.
    5. If no objection to the test time was made when registering, no refund may be requested for non-attendance.
    6. Be clear about the points deduction items and movements required for the test.
    7. The test may be video recorded for evidential use in case of dispute or accident.
    8. The road test points deduction standards form must be signed before the test may begin.
    9. When the examiner announces that more than 30 points have been deducted and the test is failed, the test taker must bring the vehicle to a stop in a safe place or park in a safe place at the roadside, and move to the back seat.
    10. Do not cheat, and do not insult, attempt to bribe, or commit any other unlawful act toward test staff or the test unit.
    11. Road test takers should fulfill the test items required and take full responsibility for their own driving performance. The duty of the examiner is to evaluate, not to direct or supervise. The examiner shall not take any responsibility for the consequences of the test taker’s behavior.
