When is the Provisional Inspection for Transfer of Vehicle Ownership required?

For vehicles and tractors over 10 years from the date of manufacturing, and motorcycles over 5 years from the date of manufacturing, provisional inspection is required if there is a transfer of vehicle ownership. Please bring the following required documents to any Motor Vehicle Office for inspection.

Required Documents

  1. Vehicle Registration License
  2. Original “New License Plate Registration Forms” (not required for personal small sized vehicles)
  3. Compulsory automobile liability insurance with validity of at least 30 days
  4. Documents required for transfer of vehicle ownership

Attention

For vehicles undergoing the Provisional Inspection for Transfer of Vehicle Ownership at this Office, the “Application for Transfer of Vehicle Ownership” will not have to be filled out as it will be printed automatically after the vehicle has passed inspection.
