    Suspension or Resumption of Use

    Required Documents

    1. One of the following proof documents:
      • Individual: Original ID card (or military ID card or alien residence certificate).
      • Company: Official document for approval of company registration (including company registration form) issued by a competent authority or certificate of company registration issued by a competent authority and unified business number issued by a taxation authority. In case of copied proof documents, a copy of the latest receipt of business tax payment shall be submitted as well.
      • Institution, school, or association: The original proof document of the institution, school, or association, and the unified business number issued by a taxation authority.
      • Professional practitioner: A copy of the professional practitioner’s ID card, proof of business practice or proof documents issued by the trade union, and notice of the unified business number.
    2. Owner’s seal (on-site signature is acceptable).
    3. Original vehicle license.
    4. Vehicle and Motorcycle Alteration Registration Form.
    5. Two vehicle license plates and one motorcycle license plate.

    Application FeeFree (A fine in the amount of NT$900 for private vehicles and NT$1,300 for commercial vehicles will be imposed for inspections that are late by more than one month)

    Notices

    1. Any outstanding vehicle license taxes or fuel fees shall be paid off first.
    2. Suspension of use shall not exceed one year. Please apply for the resumption of use with the motor vehicles office or station where the suspension of use was registered.
    3. If the suspension of use exceeds three months or the vehicle inspection is delayed due to damaged parts, please apply for vehicle inspection with the motor vehicles office or station where the suspension of use was registered upon resumption of use. After passing inspection, the license plate will be returned.
    4. According to the Compulsory Automobile Liability Insurance Act, the resumption of use will not be processed if the insurance policy will expire in less than 30 days.
