    Stolen Vehicle Cancellation

    Required Documents

    1. One of the following proof documents:
      1. Individual: Original ID card (or military ID card or alien residence certificate).
      2. Company: Official document for approval of company registration (including company registration form) issued by a competent authority or certificate of company registration issued by a competent authority and unified business number issued by a taxation authority. In case of copied proof documents, a copy of the latest receipt of business tax payment shall be submitted as well.
    2. Owner’s seal (on-site signature is acceptable).
    3. Original vehicle license (not applicable to lost vehicle licenses).
    4. Vehicle and Motorcycle Alteration Registration Form.
    5. The proof document of a stolen vehicle issued by the police.
    6. Original New License Plate Registration Form (If the form is lost, it can be reissued upon application).
    7. Applicants with a citizen certificate and motor vehicles office membership may apply online at the Motor Vehicles Driving Information Services website.

    Notices

    1. Before applying for stolen vehicle cancellation online, applicants shall pay off outstanding taxes. Overcharged fuel fees will be returned to the vehicle owner by check. 
    2. In case of movable property as a guarantee, the applicant shall first apply to cancel registration.
    3. A lost vehicle license can be reissued (a valid insurance policy for compulsory automobiles liability insurance with an expiration that exceeds 30 days shall also be submitted; for vehicles that have not been inspected by the deadline stipulated on the vehicle license, applicants shall first carry out inspection and pay off any outstanding vehicle license tax, fuel fee, and fines).
